Too often we try to overcome and beat back nature.  You can sink a bunch of $’s and resources trying to beat back that which is inevitable (natural succession).  Nature however has its’ own way. Our company tries to work with that strategy.

We have a low maintenance, native plant philosophy to our landscapes. This seems to overcome most pests, chinook and drought problems which plague our Calgary climate.  We believe and insist on mulching beds and some sort of edging (natural or otherwise). Most of the plant material we spec is drought tolerant, zone specific and guaranteed (unless requested otherwise) and insist on multiple species plantings.

Rob has always had a keen interest in landscapes and plants. He has labored, supervised and managed in the landscape, horticulture, arboriculture and construction industries in many capacities (for both private sector and government agencies) for over 25 years.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry and is ISA Certified Arborist. He has operated a landscape business in the interior of BC for 5 years and this is his 7th year in the Calgary area and also co-managed a nursery in Manitoba for several years.
